Aruba Captured
Updated: Oct 22
On September 19th 2026, the La Cabana Aportando Foundation hosted a photography auction fundraiser featuring photographs by local professional and amateur photographers. The theme was Aruba Captured showcasing various aspects of our beloved island through the lens of the participating photographers.
Over a hundred photos were donated to the cause some of which were printed and displayed on site and others were flashed on screens around the room. Held in the La Cabana Conference Room, the event was very well organised and supported by locals, members of the business community, La Cabana associates as well as La Cabana owners who were in house. The ambience was very convivial and attendees enjoyed a lovely evening meeting the photographers, as well as enjoying the hospitality and camaraderie.
This year, the funds raised will be donated to Fundacion Contra Violencia Relacional (FCVR) whose goals and objectives focus squarely on domestic violence and abuse victims on the Island, to help them find their way towards a better life. Their mission is to provide support, shelter and advocacy - all to help survivors rebuild their lives, and develop stability by regaining their self-esteem and self-confidence, thereby creating long-term positive change. La Cabana Aportando is pleased to have supported FCVR this year and wish them continued success in their important work.
La Cabana Aportando Foundation itself is an initiative of the management and associates of La Cabana Beach Resort and Casino aspiring to support needy individuals, groups and organisations. Hosting fundraising events helps us create more opportunities for persons less fortunate than ourselves and we encourage you to be part of this worthy effort.
Sincere thanks to all who participated in and supported the event - the organisers, the participating photographers, the attendees, the Board, management and associates of La Cabana Beach Resort and the team of La Cabana Aportando.
